Class of 2011

3-Year Calendar

The DPT program is 33 consecutive months consisting of fall, spring and summer sessions over Years I and II and fall and spring semesters in Year III. To reflect the integrative nature of the academic and clinical sessions, it should be noted that the program does not always follow the University calendar.

2008-09 First Year of Study

FALL I: FALL I: September 2 – December 22, 2008 **
16 weeks of didactics + study days and final exam

Friday - Monday December 12 - 15 Final Exams (Anatomy & Examination & Evaluation)

Monday December 22 Lab Practical Retesting (if necessary)
Monday December 22 Fall Semester Ends
** By the mid-point of the semester (early November) students will know their performance in the program based on completion of the first set of examinations. Students whose class averages are at 75% or below and/or have been retested on any practical examination should not make travel arrangements for the holiday break until the evening of Monday, December 22.

10 week session

Friday July 31 Last Day of Classes
**9 weeks of regularly scheduled classes. Exam schedule will be developed during Spring I and distributed once it is finalized. Week 10 is a 2-day Medical Screening course (Monday – Tuesday, July 26 – 27. Take home final exam due by Friday, July 31)

Spring III: Clinical Internship
18 weeks
Starting and ending dates depend on clinical site selection and if rotation is 18 weeks at 1 facility or divided into 2 separate 9 week rotations

Friday May 6 or 13 Internship Ends
Tuesday May 17 Program Commencement
Wednesday May 18 University Commencement
Following graduation a Licensure Examination Review Course is scheduled. Probable dates are Sunday-Monday, May 22 – 23. Attendance is optional and the program supports part of the tuition fee to take the course. May 23 – 24
