Posted by vanessa on January 17, 2018

We are pleased to announce that an abstract submitted by DPT II student Kathleen Sun has been selected to receive the annual student scholarship awarded by the Performing Arts Special Interest Group (PASIG) of the Orthopedic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

The abstract, "A Rubric for Evaluating Adolescent Dancer Screens," was created in collaboration with faculty member Dr. Laurel Daniels Abbruzzese and class of 2018 student Marissa Schaeffer.

This award for $400 is to assist in defraying the costs of attending the Combined Sections Meeting (CSM) in New Orleans, LA in February. She will present the poster and receive the award at a special ceremony at CSM.

Kathleen commented, “I’m super excited about this! Thank you both [Dr. Abbruzzese and Marissa Schaeffer] for all your work on this project. I'm looking forward to CSM and what this year will bring!”
